1. Agreement and scope
These Terms govern your use of the official Immemorabilis application and website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The source code is separately offered under the MIT License. That license governs your use of the code; these Terms govern the official Service and do not replace the open-source license.
2. Reminders are not medicine
Immemorabilis is general-purpose reminder software. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, screen for, treat, or prevent ADHD or any other condition.
Do not use missed tasks, notification habits, snoozing, forgetfulness, or any other behavior in the Service to diagnose yourself or anyone else. If you need clinical advice or are concerned about your health, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
3. Humane use is part of the brief
Do not use the Service, its official materials, or its name to harass or shame people; present ordinary behavior as pathology; imply a diagnosis; or pressure people based on actual or suspected mental health, disability, or neurodivergence.
Official Immemorabilis marketing will not use a person’s mental health or suspected condition as a shortcut to a sale.
4. Pricing
The source code is available under the MIT License. An official distribution may charge for delivery, maintenance, or support, but any price will be shown clearly before purchase and should remain proportionate to what is offered.
A useful interface can be valuable. Software layered over Reminders does not have the Midas touch, and pricing should still read the room.
5. Apple services and permissions
The Service relies on Apple platform features, including Reminders, notifications, speech recognition, and location search. Their availability and behavior may depend on your device, operating-system settings, permissions, iCloud configuration, and Apple’s services and terms.
You decide whether to grant permissions. Some features will not work without the relevant permission. You remain responsible for checking important deadlines; software and notifications can fail.
6. Your content and acceptable use
You retain responsibility for the reminders, notes, links, locations, and other content you enter. Do not use the Service unlawfully, to infringe another person’s rights, to distribute harmful code, or to interfere with the Service or another person’s device or data.
7. Open source and identity
The repository is licensed under the MIT License. That copyright license does not grant trademark rights or permission to misrepresent a modified distribution as the official app. Forks are welcome; modified distributions should simply be identified clearly.
8. Availability and changes
The Service may change, pause, or end. Features can be added or removed, and compatibility may change with Apple’s software. We may update these Terms; the effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
9. No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the project’s author and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, opportunities, or missed reminders arising from the Service. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited only to the extent the law permits.
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be raised through the project’s GitHub issue tracker. Do not include private reminder content, medical information, or other sensitive data in a public issue.
