The short version: your reminders stay yours

Privacy Policy

Immemorabilis has no account system, advertising SDK, or project-operated analytics. It works with Apple’s platform services on your device.

Effective August 26, 2026

1. Information we collect

The official Immemorabilis app does not require an account and does not send your reminders to a server operated by this project. It does not include advertising or project-operated behavioral analytics.

2. Reminders and app preferences

With your permission, the app reads and changes data in Apple Reminders so it can display, create, edit, complete, and schedule reminders. That data remains managed by Apple Reminders and, if you enable it, your iCloud account.

Settings such as accent color and interface state are stored locally on your device or in the app’s shared container so the app and its widgets can use them.

3. Dictation and speech recognition

If you use dictation, the app requests microphone and speech-recognition access. Audio and speech may be processed by Apple according to your device, language, operating-system settings, and Apple’s privacy terms. The Immemorabilis project does not receive or store your audio or transcript on a project-operated server.

4. Location search

If you search for a place to attach to a reminder, the request uses Apple’s MapKit services. Apple may process the search query and related technical information under its terms. The Immemorabilis project does not receive or store your location searches on a project-operated server.

5. Notifications and widgets

Reminder notifications are scheduled through Apple’s notification system. Widgets read the minimum reminder and preference data needed from the app’s shared local container. Notification delivery can depend on system settings, Focus modes, permissions, and the operating system.

6. This website

This website does not intentionally set analytics or advertising cookies. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, so GitHub may process standard request information such as IP address, browser details, and timestamps. GitHub uses this information to operate, secure, and maintain the hosting service under GitHub’s Privacy Statement.

7. Children and sensitive information

Immemorabilis is a general-purpose utility and is not designed to collect medical information. Do not post reminder content, health information, or other sensitive data in public GitHub issues. The Service is not directed to children under the age required to consent to digital services in their jurisdiction.

8. Open-source transparency

The app’s source code is public, so you can inspect how data is handled. Third-party modified builds may behave differently; review that distributor’s code and privacy policy.

9. Changes and contact

This policy may change as the app evolves. The effective date above will be updated when it does. Questions can be raised through the project’s GitHub issue tracker, without including private or sensitive information.
